It's good to see some QUALITY artwork submitted amongst all the rubbish that plagues Deviant.... absolutely fantastic work! I can draw well, but wish I could paint like that. :P

Very nice color scheme and character design. The only thing that I think may be off would be the left side of his face there is something a little off about the eye and cheek bone like it was facing the viewer more than it should. As an after thought it would be funny if you gave him a small shrub, you know, down there cause he is a bushman after all. =P

How did you do the wood texture? Painting the highlights and shadows by hand or using bevel/emboss?
